The 'KlimaTec DK 2 Wedge' is to be used in conjunction with the Klimatec IP 2500+/3500+ panels and 1000+ Sofit.

Technical Data

  • Dimensions: 60 x 40 x 2.5/0.5 cm
  • Total weight: 1.29kg
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.086 W/mK
  • Fire rating: B-s1,d0
  • Highly thermally insulating
  • Room-based solutions
  • Breathable
  • Thin-layer
  • Easy to use
  • Can be wallpapered over with all breathable wallcoverings.
  • Simple and fast to use

This should be fitted in the the same style as the associated Klimatec IP 2500+/3500+ panels as stated below.

  1. Remove old wallpaper and loose paint.
Prime ultra-absorbent, chalky and sandy base surfaces with hydrosol.
  2. Fill cracks, chipped surfaces and seriously uneven surfaces with System Adhesive SR 6.
  3. Cut the interior insulation panels with a saw.
  4. Use a hole cutter to cut openings for sockets before fitting the panels, using back-boxes if you need to.
  5. Fit a sound insulation strip around the window joint and around all movable elements, such as floating screed, windows.
  6. Comb adhesive to the entire surface of the interior insulation panels using a toothed trowel/toothed comb (with a min. toothing of 10 mm).
  7. Press the interior insulation panels with moderate pressure onto the wall above each other, slightly offset (with the nonwoven side against the wall).
Avoid cross joints and gaps. Remove excess adhesive along the edges.
  8. Fill the joints between the panels level with ERFURT KlimaTec SR 6 system adhesive. Reinforce cracks with crack repair tape or provide full-suface reinforcement if using wall coverings that do not cover cracks, like paper wallpapers.
  9. Prime interior insulation planes with hydrosol base primer.

Important information

Ensure that the existing structure is free from structural damage, such as mould and moisture. Prevent rising damp. Include thermal bridges, like integrated ceilings, radiator recesses, window frames and other installations, in your energy calculation. It may be necessary to find special solutions for these cases. Prevent the ingress of moisture by flows of air behind the interior insulation panels. Provide adequate protection from driving rain. If necessary, take appropriate measures on external walls, roofs etc. We recommend employing aspecialised planner to supervise the work.

This is a simple wallpaper calculator and should be used as a guide only. You can find the roll width and roll length you are after on the specific product page.
Roll widths are provided in meters (such as 0.5 x 10mtr) so your wall widths and heights should be inputted in meters also.
If you are purchasing an offset match product then you may need a little extra as there may be some waste. If you have any windows or doors in your walls you can simply ignore these. This will give a good estimate of required roll numbers.
